Kripalu Yoga was developed in the 1970s by Amrit Desai. This type of yoga combines Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. The word Kripalu means ‘compassion’ in Hindu. It is a relaxing approach based on meditation, healing and spiritual transformation.

The Kripalu three steps or stages are:
1-Will or voluntary practice;
2-Will and Surrender
3-Surrender.
